Work Bench — plan, execute, and prove your SEO work

Plan SEO work, manage per-client capacity, and measure the real ranking and traffic impact of every task.

Work Bench is where SEO work gets planned, executed, and proven. It answers three questions for every client: what are we doing, do we have the hours for it, and did it actually move the needle.

This is Work Bench — where SEO work gets planned, executed, and proven. Three tabs do it all: Tasks, Planner, and Sprints.

Start by choosing the client you’re working on. Everything — your task list, the capacity ring, the planner — follows that one domain. Pick “All domains” to see everything at once.

Create a task and pick its type; the estimated hours fill in automatically from your defaults. Set the Assignee, who does the work, and the Reporter, who planned it — they can be different people, and the reporter sticks for your next task.

Link the pages a task affects so we can measure its impact later. For global work — speed, server, or APO — just tick “Site-wide”; it covers the whole domain, with no page links needed.

When it’s finished, mark it Done and set the real completion date. Backdate it to when the work actually shipped, because impact is measured from that date — not when you ticked the box.

Switch between a table and a kanban board. New work starts in Triage. And track effort honestly: hit play to start the timer; stopping logs the time automatically.

The Planner is per-client capacity. Set the monthly retainer cap, and watch Planned — the hours committed to this month’s sprints — against Delivered, the hours actually logged. The ring turns red when you go over.

Sprints are your cross-domain timeline. Set the active sprint, drag work in, and keep things tidy — finished sprints get a gentle nudge to close them.

And here’s the payoff: every completed task shows its impact — the ranking and click change for its pages, before versus after. You can finally prove the work moved the needle.

That’s Work Bench: plan the work, do the work, and show it paid off. Jump in and create your first task.
